Patricia L. Millen
"The scriptures tell us that God has created each one of us as a masterpiece in His own image (Eph. 2:10.) We are all equipped with the ability to express ourselves creatively in a unique way. It may be building, teaching, writing, participating in sports, music, drama or visual arts. 'Whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.' (1 Cor. 10:31)" - Patricia L. Millen
Patricia Millen has always found a way to express her artistic and creative side. While receiving her Bachelor of Arts in Education from Pennsylvania State University, her creative outlet was expressed through the grace and precision of the sport of gymnastics where she was an All-American. After graduating, she married her husband and spent the next 32 years raising her four children. Always active, she found ways to express her creativity through sewing, quilting, cooking, stenciling and gardening.
Later in life, Patricia decided to pursue a new creative outlet. Living in the rich artistic region of Bucks County, Pennsylvania, she discovered painting in the style of the 17th Century Dutch masters, which inspired her to seek out oil painting instruction reminiscent of these artists. This technique draws from the Old Masters' style of chiaroscuro painting, characterized by dark backgrounds with an emphasis on light.
In 2009, she began studying classically inspired still imagery under the guidance of modern day master Frank Arcuri. As her artwork and ability has grown, she has been able to use her gift of creativity to produce beautiful customized works of art for her clients. To diversify her artwork, she more recently was trained in the art of sculptural painting under the direction of Laurel Pulvers and Evgenia Ermilova. In 2011, Patricia developed Tetelesti Creations, merging her various interests to bring purpose to her artistic endeavors. Through her art she is able to support various non-profits that focus on bringing healing to the emotionally struggling.
